The Ultimate Soil Enricher
Vermicast_
is stabilized organic matter produced under controlled conditions by the interaction of compost worms and microorganisms.

2.1 Billion_
Microorganisms can be found in a single kg of vermicast.
This helps suppress plant diseases and enhance soil health. It also contains phenolic compounds that naturally repel garden pests like caterpillars, aphids, and spider mites. Additionally, vermicast promotes the growth of fungi that combat harmful parasites, making it a powerful tool for healthy, pest-resistant plants.
Why Vermicast Works_
-
Rich in plant-available nutrients, vermicast releases them gradually into the soil, ensuring steady nourishment for plants. With a low carbon-to-nitrogen (C:N) ratio—typically 10:1 to 20:1—nutrients are readily accessible, fostering strong and rapid plant growth.
-
Vermicast typically has a neutral pH, preventing plant burn and creating an ideal environment for beneficial microbes and fungi. Additionally, it contains humic and fulvic acids, which dissolve otherwise insoluble minerals, stimulating robust plant growth.
-
A little vermicast goes a long way. Research shows that adding vermicast at 10%–40% by volume yields optimal results, depending on plant type and growth stage. Using more than 40% may negatively impact growth, so moderation is key.
-
For potting mixes, we recommend a blend of 20% vermicast, 20% compost, and sandy/loamy soil. For new garden beds, add a handful of vermicast to each planting hole. In established gardens, top-dress plants with about 1/4 cup of vermicast every few months.

When to Use_
-
Vermicast benefits plants at every stage, from seed germination to flowering and fruiting. Add it to seed starter mixes to boost germination and strengthen root systems. When transplanting, mix vermicast into the planting hole. For existing gardens, top-dress plants every 2–3 months for sustained benefits.
How to Store_

Store vermicast in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the bag slightly open or perforated to allow airflow while maintaining 40%–50% moisture content. If moisture drops below 35%, the vermicast becomes dusty, and its microorganisms may expire. Properly stored, vermicast remains effective for 18–24 months.
